Apollo and IBA to make proton therapy accessible to Indian patients

IBA and Apollo Hospitals of India are very excited to be making Proton Therapy available for the first time in that nation.

The Indian healthcare market is growing rapidly and there is a significant need for innovative approaches to cancer therapy. Apollo Hospitals is one of Asia’s leading healthcare providers. This collaboration will bring the latest in innovative cancer therapy to the Asia region.

Proton Therapy at the heart of the US Oncology Network

Bringing advancements like Proton Therapy into its community-based practice is a hallmark of US Oncology Network’s approach. It is centered around patients and making the most advanced tools and treatments available to them.

Located in Dallas, Texas, the Proton Therapy facility is being developed by IBA for Texas Oncology, McKesson Specialty Health and Baylor Health Enterprises. It will provide a team of oncologists working across Texas with another critical tool in the fight against cancer.

The facility’s first patients are expected to be treated with protons in late 2015.
